I never felt it, if I'm honest. There wasn't the edge there, and what a disappointment it turned out to be. Dour, dreck, dirge. The Rags were far superior (though not excellent, by any means) and City were once again bereft of ideas, once again risking losing all by dint of a silly mistake brought on by needlessly inviting pressure and clinging on for grim death.
It has to be said that one should expect more from any home team in a derby.
I will have no truck with the defence that this is a positive sign, an indicator that the Rags are now taking us seriously, as the Murdoch bots desperately attempt to talk up this dross, and we do not lose. It was a pile of shit, and that's the end of that.
