Freddy Jones

You may have noticed the latest banner picture, which bears the name of my home town. I snapped this recently in London's busy West End, at no less august a location than Leicester Square, on the drain covers near the markers for the Commonwealth countries there. I have also noticed them in Paternoster Square and at the housing development on Liverpool Road which used to be the Royal Free Hospital.

They were made by the Oswestry steel fabricators and galvanisers Frederick Jones & Son, and are a 'tidy' reminder of home. I will be making a photo pilgrimage to seek out others and posting them to my Zooomr account. Watch this (and that) space.

Fair play.
